Who is eligible to use the SWISS Airport Shuttle Geneva - Co-Shuttle service?
The service is for passengers on SWISS, Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines flights with a pick-up or drop-off address in Swiss Romandy or neighbouring départements in France. Passengers residing over 20 km from the airport may choose a shared journey (Co-Shuttle). This mode of transport is particularly attractive at night and on public holidays, when taxi prices are inflated. The service is available 24/7.
Travelling in a group or as a family
Shared mode is ideal when travelling as a family. The vehicles are equipped with child seats and are perfectly suited for families with children or infants, and are sufficiently spacious to accommodate all baggage. This mode of transport means you can be sure of arriving at the airport on time and beginning your journey with peace of mind.
Baggage
Each passenger is permitted to transport two items of baggage: one of 8 kg and 55 x 40 x 23 cm maximum + one of 32 kg maximum. Pets are permitted if they fulfil the conditions for travelling in the airplane cabin. A special request for additional items of baggage may be made on reservation, but this will incur an additional charge.
How does the shared journey option work?
If you choose the “Co-Shuttle” option, you indicate that you are willing for other passengers to be included in your transfer. The price displayed at the time of reservation corresponds with the standard journey fare. On the day of transport, if other passengers are picked up en route, the price per kilometer will be reduced by 25% per pick-up. In the event of no other passenger joining the transfer, the initial price will be billed. This option will add a maximum of 30 minutes to the duration of your initial journey, depending on the number of stops (maximum 2).
Vehicles and pick-up location
All drivers operating this service hold the relevant qualifications / certifications. Shared journeys (Co-Shuttle) are undertaken in 16-seat Mercedes Sprinter minibuses. The pick-up location is defined on reservation and the vehicles are very easily identifiable, with signage saying “SWISS Airport Shuttle Geneva”. You will be dropped off or picked up at the entrance to Geneva Airport.
Pricing structure and conditions of cancellation
The price includes passenger pick-up charges of CHF 15.00 for the first passenger and CHF 6.00 per additional passenger (adult, child or infant). The price is then calculated in accordance with the kilometers travelled (CHF 2.70 per km). If the journey is shared, the price per kilometer is reduced by 25%. Any reservation may be cancelled free of charge up to 12 hours before departure. After this, 50% of the fare will be billed in the case of a cancellation between 6 and 12 hours before departure, and the fare paid will be non-refundable if cancellation is notified less than 6 hours before departure.
